The redpipe is an electronic bagpipe with various sounds and fingerings. The redpipe family is modeled on original bagpipes from Scotland.. It is a bagpipe without tuning problems.
Connected to a standard amplifier the redpipe is a full instrument, which proved all its advantages on stage. So, the redpipe is not just another practice chanter.
Fingering and sounds can be combined by pressing a few buttons. No other components like sound generators or computers are necessary. The redpipe is transposable within a broad range. Depending on the model fingerings and sounds of various bagpipes can be adjusted.

They are made up of a sponge-filled bag and electronic chanter with sensors to accurately pick up the finger technique.
Redpipes work in a very similar way to Scottish Smallpipes and have the same fingering technique as highland bagpipes. The bag has to be sqeezed to make the drones and chanter sound.
Redpipes come complete with head phones but can be hooked up easily to an amplifier to play in performance.

Optical Touch Pipe Chanter.......ADD $290.00
The optical touch chanter replaces the original pipe chanter with metal sensors. Optical touch refers to sensors in the holes which detect light to play the notes.
The chanter has the same feel as a normal bagpipe chanter.
The electronic control pad feature a series of buttons used to control pitch, volume, drones, metronome, sounds and tuning.
There is also a 'Midi Out' socket, a 'Line Out' socket and a 'Headphones' socket.
A cordless infared line out receiver is available at extra cost.
The Batteries insert panel is also on the control panel.
